Our course is accredited by the beauty guild making it an insurable certificate which allows you to use this treatment on the general public and charge for this service. This course is open to complete beginners. Please note: There is no VRQ Upgrade available for this course. We provide everything for training but KIT not included
YOU WILL BE REQUIRED BRING A MODEL TO WORK ON
Training for all courses takes place at our Beauty Schools based in either:
Chatham, Kent - Parking opposite in Union Square Pay & Display (Behind GALA Bingo)
Rainham, Essex/Surrey - Free parking on site
Docklands, London - No Parking at centre (www.justpark.co.uk)
We provide students with access to our online training area before they attend the school. We find by doing this they are able to complete the theory in their own time and are able to absorb more information. This also means we have more time for practical, which then allows the tutor to demonstrate best practices as well as answer any Q & A’s.
The really depends on what you're looking to do, if you're looking to treat friends, go mobile or run your business from home then we’d recommend a diploma by the Beauty Guild. However, if you were looking to work in a Salon or Spa most would require you to have an NVQ/VRQ qualification.
If you decide on the NVQ/VRQ qualification you'll also be required to attend an additional day for assessment, further to this you'll automatically receive a diploma qualification. More information will be given to you during your practical day at the School. Assessments are only available at Kent or Essex.
The upgrade will cost £158 (£220 for Full Body Massage, Microdermabrasion, Reflexology Eyelash Extensions, Epilation and Facial/Body Electrotherapy), and is available during checkout. NO VRQ Upgrade available for Lash Lifting/ Quick Dip Acrylic/ Defined Brows.
Yes, you’ll have the option to do this. You’ll have to pay the additional fee (see above) for the upgrade, and we’ll then provide you with all the additional material for your NVQ qualification. We’ll then schedule your assessment day at the school.
Most insurance companies will insure you with a Diploma or NVQ certificate. Our specialist insurance scheme through Salonsafe provides tailored cover for our qualified students. The insurance allows our students to gain cover to work on the public, with treatment risk included as standard. Please click here for further information.
It will depend on the circumstances surrounding the cancellation and the notice given(see T&C for more details). In the instance that a refund is requested due to illness, medical notification will be required. Unfortunately, we are unable to give a refund if the online theory has been accessed/completed.
Yes. As well as doing the online theory at your own pace, students will find that by practising at home AFTER you have taken the course, performing approximately 6 -8 treatments, they will achieve more confidence in doing treatments. Free refreshers are offered up to 6 month after course date if you feel you need more training.
We believe in keeping the class sizes small, so students have more one 2 one time with our tutors. Our normal class size is 4 to 8.
Please see below for any course-specific requirements regarding models as some courses DO REQUIRE models.
In most cases, no models are required; students will work on each other for the practical element. However, if you feel more comfortable bringing your own model for the beauty course just let us know in advance via email. Failure to inform us that you are bringing a model could result in your course being cancelled without refund. If the course has an uneven number of students, you may be asked to bring your own model however you will be contacted by admin to discuss this.
No, everything will be provided for you on the course. However, some students find it beneficial to bring a pen and paper to make notes.

Online theory must be completed and students must meet the standards required for practical delivery by UK Beauty Schools before diploma eCertificates can be issued. If standards are not met you will be offered 1 free retake or you may be asked to provide case study videos. if more training required after this it would be chargeable. NVQ certificates are issued by the awarding body. Diploma eCertificates will be emailed by Head Office within 7 days after the course. Hard copies can be purchased for £10.00.
