Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

The VTCT Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice is a practical-based qualification intended for those who maintain the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.

During this qualification you will cover the following units:

Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment

The aim of this unit is to develop your knowledge and understanding that underpins the internal quality assurance of assessment.

Internally assure the quality of assessment

The aim of this unit is to develop your performance as a learning and development practitioner with responsibility for the internal quality assurance of assessment.

Qualification Requirements

Throughout your qualification, you will be required to monitor 2 assessors each with a minimum of 2 learners so you must ensure that you are able to access suitable candidates to allow you to complete your assessments. 1 assessor must be qualified and used to being assessed while the 2nd must be a trainee assessor who is new to being assessed. 1 assessor must be deemed to have language, literacy or physical needs. Where does the training take place?

All material for your qualification will be uploaded to an elearning platform. This can be accessed from anywhere. You will complete all your unit assignments on the computer, printed and then sent via post. Any teaching observations are to be filmed, uploaded onto USB and sent via post. Please send all material via recorded delivery.

What if I cancel my course, will I get a refund?

Once the online material has been accessed, no refund can be given.

Will I be required to do any home study?

Yes - this is a home study based course. By signing up for Teacher Training courses with us, you are taking on responsibility for the qualification. You should be expected to complete 4 to 6 hours of home study throughout the duration of your course - this could be in the form of research, assignments, shadowing and practical development.

What do I do if I need to see someone about my course?

In the event that you should require a meeting with your course tutor, please email the address on your Induction Letter so that a meeting can be arranged. This can be done at either of our schools or via Skype.

I want to complete a teaching qualification with you, but I do not live near the schools. Can I still do this?

Yes as these courses are based on home-study. These courses can be studied in the UK or Internationally.
