FAQ's

Where does the training take place?
Training for all courses takes place at our Beauty Schools based in either:

Chatham, Kent - Parking is near by in the Slicketts Hill pay and display car park (ME4 4LT). Can be paid in cash or using the RingGo parking app

When do we get access to online training?
We provide students with access to our online training area before they attend the school. We find by doing this they are able to complete the theory in their own time and are able to absorb more information. This also means we have more time for practical, which then allows the tutor to demonstrate best practices as well as answer any Q & A’s.

What is an 'upgrade'?
All our Diploma courses are accredited courses. If you wished to up grade, you would be taking the accredited course and then elevating it to a regulated qualification.

If you decide on the regulated qualification you'll be required to attend an additional day for assessment, further to this you'll automatically receive a diploma qualification. More information will be given to you during your practical day at the School.

If you decide to upgrade to a regulated qualification (VTCT and Focus Awards are the name of our awarding body)
Once you have completed the Diploma day you will be required to complete the following as home study*:
- Practice Diary to help build technique, confidence and timings
- Case Studies to put together consultations, service and aftercare with assessment paperwork
- Assignment to demonstrate knowledge understanding
During this time you will have access you all documents online and contact details for an Assessor for any questions you may have.
Once all of the above has been completed, you would return to the school to complete your assessments and written exams.
*The time in which it takes you to complete your home study will depend on how much time you can commit to your studies. We allow up to 2 years to complete the qualification, however this can be done much sooner.

Can I upgrade my diploma at a later date?
Yes, you can upgrade your accredited course at anytime within the first 3 months of completing your course. You’ll have to pay the additional fee (see above) for the upgrade, and we’ll then provide you with all the additional material for your qualification. We’ll then schedule your assessment day at the school.

If you chose to upgrade after the 3 months, you will be required to complete a Trade Test so that we can assess your competency prior to undertaking the regulated course.
